🙏Hope is Hosting an Ecumenical Thanksgiving Service November 23rd, 6:30 PM 🙏
Thanksgiving is a time to give thanks for the gifts we are given. It is a tradition that comes from rural America celebrating the harvest at the end of the growing season, showing gratitude for the bounty that is produced in fields and garden. Thanksgiving became a national holiday in a proclamation by Abraham Lincoln during the Civil War, in an attempt to help bring a divided country together. Since Thanksgiving is all about celebrating, giving thanks and bringing people together, it is a wonderful time to come together as faith communities to celebrate what we have in common; our faith in God. Sunday, November, 23, at 6:30P, Hope will host an Ecumenical Thanksgiving Service for our neighbors in faith. Come one and all! Let’s celebrate and give thanks!! Share your bounty by bringing food for the food pantry at St. Vincent DePaul. We will bless the food at the end of the service as we send it off to those in need.
